Acerca del Foil Fuser Toner Coolprints
El Foil es una lamina con una pelicula metalizada que se adhiere a las impresiones realizadas en color negro con impresora Láser, no funciona con impresoras de inyección de tinta o Inkjet
Es importante tomar en cuenta que si usted cuenta con una impresora Láser a color es recomendable que la impresión que quiere que lleve el acabado Foil sea impreso en tono Negro, si usted hará una combinación de Foil con otros colores, es recomendable que la impresión de estos colores se haga con una impresora de Tintas (Inkjet). Si realiza toda la impresión con su impresora Láser incluidos los colores distintos al negro, el Foil se aplicará a toda la impresión.
About the Foil Fuser Toner Coolprints
Foil is a sheet with a metallic film that adheres to prints made in black with a laser printer, it does not work with inkjet printers.
It is important to note that if you have a color laser printer, it is recommended that the print you want to have the Foil finish be printed in black. If you will combine Foil with other colors, it is recommended that the printing of these colors be done with an inkjet printer. If you print everything with your laser printer, including colors other than black, the Foil will be applied to the entire print.
Instrucciones de uso
1) Realice la impresión de su diseño en el papel elegido en toner negro con una impresora laser
2) Precaliente su laminadora previa al uso
CON LAMINADORA MINC: Usar temperatura 2, máximo 3, No use temperatura mayor a estas
CON ENMICADORA AMAZON U OTRAS MARCAS : Precalentar 5 minutos.
3) Corte el Foil al tamaño que desea estampar y coloque encima de la impresión con la cara del color brillante hacia arriba.
4) Pase la lamina de Foil junto con su impresión a través de la laminadora
5) Una vez que salga por completo su hoja deje enfríar por completo antes de retirar la lamina de Foil
TIPS ADICIONALES:
Pueden quedar pequeños puntos de Foil donde no hay impresión, esto es normal ya que el foil reacciona al calor, pero puedes retirarlos frotando con un paño seco, si estos puntos de foil son por el toner que ha dejado la impresora, no podrás retirarlos.
El Residuo alrededor del impreso también es normal e igualmente se pueden retirar con un paño seco.
Siempre usar el tono negro de su impresora laser donde aplicará Foil porque este es el color que contiene mayor polvo de estireno que es el polvo requerido para que el Foil se adhiera
Instructions for use
1) Print your design on the chosen paper in black toner using a laser printer.
2) Preheat your laminator prior to use.
WITH MINC LAMINATOR: Use temperature 2, maximum 3. Do not use temperature higher than this.
WITH AMAZON OR OTHER BRANDS OF LAMINATORS: Preheat for 5 minutes.
3) Cut the Foil to the size you want to stamp and place it on top of the print with the shiny colored side facing up.
4) Pass the Foil sheet along with your print through the laminator.
5) Once your sheet is fully out, let it cool completely before removing the Foil sheet.
ADDITIONAL TIPS:
Small dots of Foil may remain where there is no print, this is normal as the foil reacts to heat, but you can remove them by rubbing with a dry cloth. If these dots of Foil are from the toner left by the printer, they cannot be removed.
Residue around the print is also normal and can be removed with a dry cloth.
Always use black toner from your laser printer where Foil will be applied because this is the color that contains the highest amount of styrene powder, which is the required powder for the Foil to adhere.
Aplicación con Plancha de Calor para Sublimación
Como usarlo con Plancha de sublimación (solo para planchas de cama plana tradicionales)
Es importante que realices las pruebas con distintas temperaturas ya que todas las planchas manejan distintas resistencias. Comienza tus pruebas con 120 grados y ve graduando hasta encontrar la temperatura perfecta de estampado.
Estas son unas configuraciones que nosotros solemos usar con NUESTRO equipo
Opalina 180°, Presión media (cierre y abra) no más de 5 segundos.
Importante deje enfriar completamente antes de desprender el Foil al salir de su plancha!
Application with a Sublimation Heat Press
How to use it with a sublimation heat press (only for traditional flatbed presses)
It is important to perform tests with different temperatures as all presses have different resistances. Start your tests at 120 degrees and adjust until you find the perfect stamping temperature.
Here are some settings we usually use with OUR equipment:
Opaline 180°, medium pressure (close and open) no more than 5 seconds.
Important: Let it cool completely before removing the Foil after it comes out of the press!
Aplicacion de Foil Color Blanco (No aplica para otros colores)
- Evitar el exceso de calor de la laminadora, si tu laminadora esta muy caliente, el Foil reaccionará en exceso al calor y es probable que se adhiera a zonas que no tienen toner.
- Para reducir el calor, se recomienda usar en tu Laminadora Minc la temperatura 2 o 1, ademas de esto se recomienda añadir dos hojas de papel Bond colocándola entre el foil y la parte superior de tu mica transportadora para que contrarreste aún mas el calor como se ve en las siguientes imagenes:
White Foil Application (Does not apply to other colors)
The application of this color foil is different from the rest of the colors; therefore, we suggest following the following recommendations:
- Avoid excessive heat from the laminator. If your laminator is too hot, the foil will react excessively to the heat and may adhere to areas without toner.
- To reduce the heat, it is recommended to use temperature settings 2 or 1 on your Minc laminator. Additionally, it is recommended to place two sheets of bond paper between the foil and the top of your transfer folder to further mitigate the heat as shown in the following images:
